NUSTAR Resort Cebu brings Cebu’s culinary legacy to center stage with Taste Cebu: Heirloom Culinary Gallery, a two-day immersive showcase that transforms the region’s rich food heritage into a living, multisensory experience.
Set on July 9 and 10, 2026 at the Grand Ballroom of NUSTAR Resort Cebu, the event celebrates the stories, traditions, and flavors behind the dishes that have shaped Cebuano identity across generations. More than a food event, Taste Cebu is a tribute to heritage, a platform for storytelling, and a meaningful initiative for community impact.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cebu Food Bank through Universal Cultural Foundation, Inc. (UCFI), the social responsibility arm of NUSTAR Resort Cebu. With every ticket purchased, guests help support efforts to address food insecurity and uplift communities across Cebu.
Curated by Cebuano author and food historian Louella Theresa A. Eslao-Alix, Taste Cebu: Heirloom Culinary Gallery invites guests into a thoughtfully designed gallery-style journey that traces the roots, evolution, and enduring influence of Cebuano cuisine. Blending food, history, and cultural narrative, the experience goes beyond the plate—offering a deeper understanding of the traditions and stories behind some of Cebu’s most iconic dishes.
The journey begins in the Listening Room, where guests are immersed in the influences, memories, and historical moments that have shaped Cebuano culinary culture. From there, four themed galleries unfold, each revealing a different chapter of Cebu’s gastronomic story—from its earliest roots and cherished home-kitchen traditions to vibrant fiesta fare and contemporary interpretations of Cebuano classics. Every gallery is paired with curated tastings that bring each narrative vividly to life.
Guests may choose from five one-hour guided sessions daily at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, with each session taking visitors through all galleries and tasting stations.
Tickets are priced at PHP 2,199 for regular and walk-in guests. Hotel guests may enjoy a special discounted rate of PHP 1,899, while students can avail of tickets for only PHP 1,000.
