With a prayer to heal our country, The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, Inc. (TFOE-PE, Inc.) National President (NP) Eagle Ronald delos Santos led recently the relief aid distribution to the earthquake victims in Northern Cebu.Β

“Let us always pray. Isama na natin sa prayer natin yan na wala na uling mangyayari na kalamidad dito sa ating bansa dahil alam naman natin ang sitwasyon sa bansa natin. Ang aming pinapanalangin, join us to pray for our nation, for our country and for our people,” Delos Santos emphatically said partly in his remarks last Tuesday, October 15, inside the City of Bogo Police Station grounds, their “first” of “eight stops” for the “sunrise to dusk” relief aid distribution.Β

The team which also included TFOE-PE, Inc. National Vice President for the Visayas (NPVP) Bronz PeΓ±a departed for Bogo past 5am from Liloan town arriving in the Bogo Police Station just in time for the 8am relief aid distribution to all the Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO’s) of the station where Bogo City Chief of Police, PLTCOL Leo LogroΓ±o warmly welcomed them.Β

Also with the group were theΒ  delegation of the Rotary Club of Camp Crame led by PLTCOL Rowena Jakosalem who flew in also from Manila in behalf of PMGEN Edgar Alan Okubu,Β  the RC Camp Crame Club President.Β

Okubu and RC Camp Crame was tapped by Eagle Joseph Jocson, the Chairman of Triple D (Disaster, Donation, Databank) Commission of TFOE-PE, Inc. who brought all the relief goods from the national capital through a C-130 plane from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) that landed in the Mactan Benito Ebuen Airbase (MBEAB) in Lapu-Lapu City.Β

Not minding the already scorching heat of the sun that day, the group then proceeded to the San Remegio Police Station where relief packs commensurate to the number of PNCO’s of the station were also distributed.Β

Afterwards the group went to the quake victims in Sitio Tangkong, Barangay Hagnaya, San Remegio and to Purok Caimito in the town’s Brgy. Poblacion where employees of two fast food chains in Bogo whose employment were halted because their building were destroyed by the Magnitude 6.9 quake were included as recipients.Β

Shortly after a much delayed lunch back to Bogo City proper, the group went back to the city police station grounds where some randomly picked recipients were waiting to also receive their goodies.Β

After Bogo, next stop was the Medellin Police Station whose Chief of Police, PMAJOR Manuel Cabanlit incidentally is a fellow “Eagle” belonging to the Cebu North Mandaue Eagles Club (CNMEC).Β

Because of time constraints, Cabanlit was requested by NP Delos Santos to send the relief goods that were intended for Daanbantayan Police Station through him.

The group then went to Barangay Maharuhay, Medellin before capping the activity in the Bogo City Health Office to donate medicines thru Assistant City Health Officer Dr. Shiela Faciol.Β

Apart from RC Camp Crame, the relief aid distribution was also made possible because of the pooled donation from the members of PNPA Tagapamagitan Class of 2013.Β

Prior to the Northern Cebu relief aid distribution, an earlier relief giving mission was also conducted by the Triple D Commission in Masbate for the typhoon victims in the province.Β

The TFOE-PE, Inc. top leadership will also conduct relief aid distribution to the quake victims in Davao region, it was learned.
