Braving the 10-hour traffic gridlock, the Eagle Regions in Central Visayas particularly those based in Metro Cebu gave relief aid yesterday, Saturday, September 4, 2025 to the victims of the recent magnitude 6.9 earthquake that badly hit the City of Bogo and its neighboring towns in Northern Cebu.Β

The group led by The Fraternal Order of Eagles- Philippine Eagles, Inc.-Β TFOE-PE, Inc. National Vice President for the Visayas (NVPV) Bronz PeΓ±a left Mandaue City past 5am and reached Bogo City hall past 2pm where they were graciously welcome by Mayor Mayel Martinez, herself a Lady Eagle, belonging to Cebu North Bogo Lady Eagles Club (CNBLEC).

“Daghang salamat sa akong mga Kuya from theΒ  The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Central Visayas sa inyong pagpaabot sa inyo suporta sa Dakbayan sa Bogo πŸ’š,” Martinez posted in her social media page in response to the relief aid distribution dubbed,”One Visayas Region, One Heart:

Together we rise, Together we serve.”

The amiable Eagle Mayor assigned a designated drop off point to the group for an orderly distribution where the packed relief goods were picked up by the Eagle club presidents and other Eagle officers in Nothern Cebu for it to be distributed to their identified recepients and to Eagle members who were affected by the quake themselves.Β

Prior to the arrival of the CVR Eagle Regions, other eagle regions and eagle clubs also conducted their own relief aid distribution initiatives to the quake victims notably the Cebu North Mandaue Eagles Club (CNMEC), Datu Lapulapu Eagle Club (DLEC), Rajah Humabon Eagles Club (RHEC),Β  Legions of Lapulapu Eagles Club (LLEC), atbp.

The distribution of the bulk of the relief aid by the Visayas Region Eagles which were loaded to “wing vans” was earlier coordinated with the Cebu provincial government where NVPV PeΓ±a met with Gov. Pamela Baricuatro in the capitol along with the other private sector groups which volunteered to have a coordinated relief aid distribution.

The Tuesday quake which claimed at least 71 lives and destroyed vital infrastructures has also affected the towns of San Remegio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Tabuelan, Tuburan and Bantayan island. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. (PBBM) and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte have aleady both visited the area and also gave their help to the victims.
