LAPU-LAPU CITY- For the “8th straight time ‘in as many months, the Bureau of Customs Subport of Mactan here has hit its monthly revenue collection target for August 2025.
Ably led by Subport Collector Gerardo Campo, LCB, the subport actually collected P127, 015, 236, 84 (One Hundred Twenty Seven Million Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Six Pesos and Eighty Four Centavos) surpassing the assigned target of P119, 350, 000.00 (One Hundred Nineteen Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand).
August is considered a lean month for importation but the Subport still made it, attaining a cumulative collection of P1, 370, 734, 239 at the end of the month for the entire eight month period.
The Subport has been assigned with annual target of P1, 580, 830, 000.00 as per data from Deputy Subport Collector for Assessment Nellie Wilwayco indicated.
As the so-called “ber” months has just started, Campo is very optimistic that the Subport will hit the assigned annual target especially so that importers and traders is expected to increase their importation because of the high demand until the Christmas Season.
On top of of its collection efficiency performance , the Subport of Mactan has ISO 9001- 2015 rating (Quality Management Systems) making it at par with international standards as certified by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO).
Aside from its passenger services at the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Terminal 2, the Subport also has operational and supervisory control over the Bureau of Customs Mactan Economic Zone (MEZ) and Cebu Light Industrial Park. /CCO
